Motherland 7th March onwards

A new play..about the controversial, highly sexed  Dr Marie Stopes, the birth control pioneer of the 1930's, who did her doctorate in a year. Her practice and ideas led to an organisation that now provides advice to women in 41 countries. She thought that Barnes Wallis (bouncing bomb/Dam Busters) was inferior stock because he and all his family - but that would be telling - now in her 60's, her son has fallen in love with Wallis's daughter.  Add in a cuckolded husband and a letter from Hitler for an intriguing portrait of an exceptional pioneer...or monster?
